Now this book is fun. It is an old translation by Richard Burton and F. F. Arbuthnot … with no pictures, in case you’re wondering. This is from an ancient sanskrit text of 3rd century CE, and translated in 1883. It offers an enlightening discussion of relationships and behaviour between men and women. While it is biased by the prejudices that existed when it was first written and also when it was translated, it is surprisingly balanced and sensible. It’s also quite fun for the terminology and form of expression used.
