What's in a name?
astræa was the name of the goddess of truth and justice in ancient mythology. It was the personification of feminine virtues. We nurture justice and truth and they underpin our raison d'etre.
If astræa has a gender it is female, because without women we are nothing.
The name astræa is derived from the ancient Greek for star and means Star Maiden. She signifies equity, justice and truth. Legend has it that when wickedness prevailed among humans, she was the last of the gods to withdraw and is found among the stars of Virgo. astræa will one day return to Earth, when humanity regains its virtue.
