DLR Lexicon Welcomes Feast Upon The Earth

Feast Upon The Earth at DLR Lexicon

Feast Upon The Earth is on the move! DLR Lexicon will host the timescape from 26 July to 31 August 2024.

The timescape prompts new perspectives. It situates us in geographical time and shows connections between nature, humans, food, finance, fossil fuels, consumption, pollution and climate change. We see how we have impacted our world, and can get a sense of how quickly and deeply change is happening. It asks, “What future will we choose?”

Astraea was a sponsor of the Mary Robinson Climate and Nature Conference in Ballina, Co. Mayo, in June with Feast Upon The Earth (pictured at the Ballina Civic Offices) as a major installation.

This question will be actively addressed at the official launch. Join the creators for a family-friendly discussion on 31 July at 6pm. Let’s envision the world we want, and imagine how we might get there.

Originally commissioned for the Irish Museum of Modern Art for their 2nd Earth Rising eco-festival, you can still catch Feast Upon The Earth for a few more days in Tullow, Co. Carlow, at the Teach Bhride Holistic Education Centre before it moves to the big smoke!
