Holonics
It is better to explore within
We were apes before we spoke of sin
The cosmos sits on the tip of a pin
- Sheryl Crow
Holonics is simply a way of putting words to an idea. The only unfamiliar
aspect is the word holon. It means something that is a whole and a part
at the same time. How can that be? You are a whole person, and a part
of humanity at the same time. Your heart is an organ in its own right,
and a part of your human body at the same time. You are yourself and a
part of nature at the same time. I like the image of a carpet woven from
many different colours of thread, each thread is separate and different,
together they create multicoloured image of its own.
Under the title of holonics I have collated big picture ideas, the theories
of everything, to be a simple guide to our behaviour as individuals, communities,
society, species. For me, it has been an articulation of why we do what
we do. It helps me to know myself and to control my will. It helps me
to choose a path of happiness. It is a simple framework, though at first
might seem unfamiliar. A holonic framework is well adapted as a guide
for life, work and play, because it is flexible, adaptable to different
situations, empirically proven and intuitive. Once you see the big picture
feelings can take over from words and you know what is the right things
to do and the right way to do it.
No one is perfect. Everyone is different. But you can be more comfortable
in your choices, in your approach to life and in your success. You live
life and become happy.

| Biomimicry. Biomimicry
(from bios,
meaning life, and mimesis,
meaning to imitate) is an ancient concept recently returning to
scientific thought that examines nature,
its models, systems, processes, and elements— and emulates
or takes inspiration from them to solve human problems sustainably.
Scientific and engineering literature often uses the term Biomimetics
for the process of understanding and applying biological principles
to human designs. Biomimicry
