Financial crisis 2008 – update
Glad to see your realistic approach to consumption and your call for “success without growth”. The need to reduce consumption is so negatively received – people are afraid of having less although we still have plenty. Or we cut the wrong things (like the Irish medical cards for over-70s, and funding for education!!). It seems that the economic crunch might bring people’s attention to the harder-to-believe ecological crunch. Hopefully “less is more” will be increasingly recognised as a smart, positive approach.
