Prepare yourself for a restful sleep
The three phases of a hatha practice provide structure and flow to draw the mind inward. The opening and warm up prepare body and mind for practice. We will use chant and simple movements to get the joints moving. The asana-vinyasa portion follows, and a relaxation and conclusion will draw the practice to a gentle close.
Hatha yoga integrates body and mind through breath. You will be guided into unimposed ujjayi breathing arising from the placement and movement of the body. Asana, bandha, mudra and pranayama are woven together to layer the beneficial effects of the practice.
Circular patterns of asana vinyasa that assuage the nervous system, preparing you for a restful sleep, will be emphasised.
