According to current and former US government officials, it has just been confirmed that in 2005 the Central Intelligence Agency destroyed at least two videotapes documenting the interrogation of two al-Qaeda suspects in the agency’s custody, a step it took in the midst of Congressional and legal scrutiny about its secret detention program.
Its like a Hollywood movie isn’t it? The bad guys, behaving badly and trying to cover it up. Unfortunately, the only hero that can “save the day” is America herself, but the people of America have other things to worry about than their national integrity and international reputation – the economy is deteriorating and oil is getting expensive. But if we want to fix those problems we’re going to have to remove fear, greed and dishonesty from American culture. Stop hiding immorality behind suits and military uniforms.
