No Plan “B”

The world faces a “catastrophe” of floods, droughts and killer heatwaves if world leaders fail to agree a deal on climate change.  Negotiators have 50 days to save the world from global warming and break the “impasse”. There is no plan B.

This is the message of Gordon Brown at the  Major Economies Forum in London, which brings together 17 of the world’s biggest greenhouse gas-emitting countries.

Unfortunately he doesn’t actually have an answer.  Too much confrontation by political and business leaders will continue to distract people from adopting different behaviour.  The solution lies in the hands of individuals: you.  We must change our habits and consume less.

The impending ecological crisis will make the economic crisis seem like a nice holiday.
